Universal Workaround

Although this is an imperfect solution, you may try:

  1. Copy Chinese text from an incompatible application
  2. Paste text into Windows Notepad
  3. Use MDBG Chinese Reader with Chinese text in Notepad
Legacy

Limitations

Since the release of MDBG Chinese Reader 6.6, a few applications are no longer "well behaved" and will not function with Chinese Reader's LiveScan and HighlightScan modes. These are:

- Microsoft Office 2013; Office 2010 is compatible
- Tencent QQ

On May 2013, Version 6.7 was released. This now supports:
- Adobe Reader XI
- Mozilla Firefox 21
- Google Chrome version 25
- ClipboardScan
- Expanded dictionary (over 105,000 entries)
