Understand compound words and phrases

1. From any scan or word list window, select a word or phrase
2. Right-click and choose Breakdown
3. The Lookup window will show the components and sub-components of your selection

In the example above, the idiom haoi chi lan zuo is composed of 4 characters. Breakdown shows hao chi (tasty, delicious) as a compound word. This is also decomposed into hao (good) and chi (eat). The same characters, with hao pronounced differently, offers a different meaning (fond of eating).
